For Independence Day 2019, I pray for the deepening experience and knowing, within each person in this country and around the world:
- that Strength is measured by the willingness and capacity to seek peace in all things and at all times;
- that Progress is realized by the way and to the extent that we love all people and all the Earth, and attend with care, inclusion, truth and generosity to all needs;
- and that Hope is rooted in the inner faith by which all things and beings are created, evolve and grow, toward their most life-filled expression and destiny.
May it be so.

At a sacred event today, Guruji-Ma spoke in an offering of prayer, about how everything we do, say, think, and intend, affects the world, and if of great importance that we seek to know this. For to the extent we know this and choose to be and act from this, we bring into the world the very ideals and ways of being we long to see in the world. Each of us makes far more of a difference than we know. How we are, affects and changes the world.
Michaela (my wife) wrote a short prayer “May America return to its ideals and be a beacon of hope for all the world”.
Each one of us Is that beacon... when we seek to live from what is most whole, true, loving, present and alive within us.
So, let us seek to find, and return to, our most deeply held ideals, and seek to live from them. In this way we change the world. In this way we are America offering our deepest hopes and ideals and promise, to the country, and to the world.
