Changing the world is simple, at heart

Changing the world is ultimately a simple process. Challenging, perhaps, for we as humans must learn to let go of old ways of doing things, in order that the new can emerge. But simple - for it is to follow the heart, to risk trusting where the heart leads us. So that we find what matters most in the deepest part of our selves.
And in that place, we find that the needs of others are also our needs as well. So too the needs of the Earth. And from here, is a matter seeking to align one’s life with the intention to do all one can in service the needs of others, and the needs of the Earth. For those needs are our needs, for we are them and they are us.
The call to change the world, and so to change ourselves, asks of us great courage, and commitment. And, the world needs us, in this time.

From the place of following the heart, changing the world can be looked at simply, in three steps:
1. What are the Problems?
2. What is our Vision and Hope for the Future, for the Earth and All People?
3. How do we get from where we are, to there?

Problems
From the place of the heart, I believe that most people would agree on what the Problems are that we face in the world.  Certainly, different people would list some problems as higher priorities than others, according to each one’s life experiences and nature.  And yes, some who not conscious of critical problems we face, and others who have vested interests in not-seeing, not-knowing, or obscuring truth, may be less able or less willing to acknowledge a number of the problems we face.  But overall, if 100 people from around the world chosen randomly, were to list the problems of the world that need to be addressed, I think that small number of people would be able to together assemble a relatively full picture challenges before us.
From the place of the heart, identifying the problems is not complicated. It is painful to contemplate what the problems are, but necessary for us to know the urgent needs of this time on the Earth.

Vision and Hope
I believe most people also, from the place of the inner heart, share a common Vision and Hope for the world.  The heart knows what it longs for in the world, for it lives in the heart humanity.  As is carried in words such as Peace to all Humankind.  Each soul has particular aspect of the Vision and Hope for the Future, and is meant especially to bring this into the world. Put them all together, and like the beads of a necklace, they spell the hope for humanity that we all wear around our hearts.   With words like Peace, Safety, Truth, Livelihood, Meaning, Harmony with the Earth, Stewardship, Freedom, Sustainable Living, Love, Sharing, Education, Joy, Serenity, Celebration, Culture, Respect, Compassion, Cooperation, Care for all Life, Non-Violence, Resolution of Conflict, Reverence.  Some people may have more immediate access to Vision; others may for reasons of fear or dismay, distrust or woundedness, or challenges blocking spiritual transmission, may not feel the reality that such is possible.  And yet Love, and the experience of God in many forms, can encourage each and all find the pathways that unblock the heart from its deeper calling, its deeper knowing.  For new Vision awaits our presence, our efforts, out devoted commitment on alignment with the Universe itself,  helping a new Earth come into being.

How do we get from here to there?
This is the great beauty; for when one is aligned with the heart, the ‘how we get from here to there’ will evolve in Divine timing, in Divine ways. Or to use other language: when we align our lives in harmony with the greater Life of which we are part, a resonance is created between our ‘selves’ and the greater “Self” of the Life of the Universe, through which the magic the new possibility comes into being.  Every person has their own gifts to bring, towards the ‘how’ of this happening.  As each attunes their heart and what is theirs to offer, and reaches to do so in response to the Problems of our time and toward a Vision of the future – the collective gifts, miracles, generativity and magic of joining together in this way in the heart of love, is beyond what we can imagine in what will come into being on the Earth.

To ground this ‘how’ in an example, today 3 people, Abhijit Banarjee, Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics, for their work addressing poverty. You can listen to this interview about their work, some of their research and learning. how they are helping, and their commitment to continuing to do so (go to the 45:00 minute mark on BBC Newshour).  Ms. Duflo noted that sometimes the answers to problems can be “deceptively simple” relative to what one might have thought.  Mr. Banarjee said work is part of an "efflorescence of ideas" of people in this growing network within the Economics field, “a lever to make the world a better place”, and in their focus, on reducing poverty. Here also is an article about their work (BBC News).

The greatest power in the Universe, is Love. To the extent that we align with Love, we change the world. May all come to the further awakening, of our hearts.  May all come to awareness of what the Earth and All People need, now, and for the future. May we move swiftly, strongly, urgently, in the direction of our deepest hearts, on behalf of the world and for the future of the Earth.

All Blessings.
Namaste. Pranam.
